Your Itinerary

Autumn in the Maritimes Itinerary.jpg

Day 1, QUÉBEC CITY, QUÉBEC, CANADA – EMBARKATION

Just northeast of the UNESCO-designated Vieux-Québec (Old Town), Montmorency Falls Park enchants with striking flows that are one and a half times taller than Niagara Falls. Explore the streets of the Old Town presided over by the Château Frontenac for a taste of French-Canadian culture found in classic bistros and cafés, and explore proud French history found in numerous museums.

Day 2, QUÉBEC CITY, QUÉBEC, CANADA

Day 3, Cruising the Gulf of St. Lawrence

Day 4, Cruising the Bay of Fundy

Shaped like a scythe, the island of Corfu is considered one of the Mediterranean's best-kept secrets. Its lush interior is covered in cypress and olive trees while the main downtown area has elegant Venetian architecture and a serene atmosphere. Strategically important due to its location, this island has managed to maintain its uniqueness despite numerous invasions by outside forces. Today, the culture of Corfu reflects its turbulent past as well as its origins.

Day 5, SAINT JOHN, NEW BRUNSWICK, CANADA

Here on the Bay of Fundy, a rare phenomenon known as the Reversing Rapids occurs when high bay tides collide with the Saint John River. History is impressive, too, with Canada’s oldest continuously operating farmers’ market and oldest museum. Nearby, Irving Nature Park’s salt marshes, volcanic rock and forests are explored on winding trails.

Day 6, BAR HARBOR, MAINE, USA

Cradled off the craggy coast of Maine lies Mount Desert Island and the charming town of Bar Harbor. Stroll its picturesque main street or venture to the top of Mount Cadillac for stunning vistas of emerald-green forests and rugged valleys. Bike the carriage trails of Acadia National Park. And be sure to sample some of North America’s most delectable seafood at an authentic lobster bake.

Day 7, BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS, USA

Relive nearly four hundred years of history as you explore the Freedom Trail, the Old North Church and the Boston Common. A few miles away lie Lexington and Concord where the momentous events that began in 1775 come alive. Boston has not been content to rest on the laurels of its glorious past. Progress is everywhere. Glazed high-rises soar skyward and the colorful waterfront area has been artfully renovated.

Day 8, NEWPORT, RHODE ISLAND, USA

stylish, world-famous yachting center with a long tradition of elegance, the colonial sections of Newport boast many authentic historic buildings, some dating back to the 1600s. Most impressive are the opulent summer "cottages" built by industrial-age tycoons. Fashioned after palaces of Europe, their interiors boast lavish use of marble, alabaster, gilt, mosaics and stained glass complemented by magnificent furnishings and fine tapestries.

Day 9, NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK, USA - Disembarkation

Being the largest city in the United States, the city that never sleeps will leave you with endless journeys. Take a peaceful bike ride past the wonders of Central Park, see a world class production on the bustling street of Broadway, or find yourself looking at stunning Manhattan views from the top of the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere.
