Regent's Seven Seas Splendor Floated Out

The Seven Seas Splendor of Regent Seven Seas has officially entered its final construction phase after being floated out from drydock at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Ancona, Italy. For the final stage of her development, workers will focus on her interior spaces, which includes 375 luxury suites, lounges and gourmet restaurants. When the Seven Seas Splendor sets sail in February 2020, she will bring about an impressive take on the modern definition of luxury cruising. More from Insider Travel Report:

At roughly 55,000 gross-registered tons and carrying 750 guests, Seven Seas Splendor will have one of the highest space ratios and staff-to-guest ratios in the cruise industry. Like her sister ship Seven Seas Explorer, she features the Regent Suite, an even bigger version of largest suite constructed on a luxury cruise ship with more than 3,000 square feet of interior accommodations and a 1,300-square-foot wraparound veranda.

The suite comes complete with a hand-crafted $200,000 Vividus bed from the Hästens brand; an in-suite spa retreat with a personal sauna, steam room and treatment area with unlimited spa treatments; unobstructed 270-degree views over the ship’s bow; and a glass-enclosed solarium sitting area on top of the bridge for a Captain’s view. Regent Suite guests also enjoy a dedicated personal butler to manage all the details of their experience, as well as a personal car with driver and guide in every port.

The 14 other suite categories range in size from 300 square feet to 2,100 square feet. Throughout the ship there are crystal chandeliers, art work, imported Italian marble and custom-designed, hand-crafted furnishings. A limited number of suites are still available for sailings during Seven Seas Splendor’s inaugural season. For more information, call 415-753-2189 or click on Regent Seven Seas.
